In the ordinary course of conducting the business of investment management, Arete Asset Management collects and maintains information from clients of which some is nonpublic and personal. We obtain such information from you on applications, forms, and through transactions we implement on your behalf. In order to conduct our business as efficiently as possible, it is also necessary for us to share some of this information with certain service providers such as financial institutions that execute trades and custody assets. We do very much respect the right our clients have to the privacy of their nonpublic personal information, however, and strictly limit access of such information to service providers we engage to process or service the financial services for which our clients employ us, or as otherwise permitted by law.

Internally, we work to protect the privacy of client information by restricting access to such information to authorized employees. In addition, we have created a variety of procedures and use a combination of physical and electronic defenses (e.g. locks and passwords) to further safeguard your private information. We extend these protections regarding nonpublic personal information to you even if you decide to discontinue employing us as your investment manager.
